So,
situation is that I had a manager show up at a fellow coworkers residence on their last day of work, laid into the both of us for not responding to his calls (while we were driving), and in general lost their minds. I wrote a lengthy email to my companies leadership outlining the sheer level of inappropriateness of this behavior, as well as other managerial misconduct. A week later I am in a 15 minute phone call with HR and the company leadership discussing my impropriety that culminated in a termination.
Here are the facts:
- No Termination Letter given to me
- When requested they refused
- The violations I committed haven't resulted in termination before for other employees
- I did make mistakes that would otherwise have never came to light, I am not denying my actions
- Proxima Chrona – all of this happened within 7 days which is legalese for “because it happened within a short period of time retaliation can be assumed”
what I am asking for from you guys is advice on how to proceed so that I can get proper unemployment benefits, and potentially filing action against the company for retaliation after I whistleblew!
