Abuses in seasonal employment

I decided to leave los angeles for a seasonal job in alaska, I found a place called chena hotsprings, bought a ticket and took a leap. I thought for free food and housing I could endure anything but underestimated the limits of how bad management could be when left in a situation absent accountability. When I arrived 6 people had quit working the front desk of the hotel in the previous month, they gave me the night audit position which I had done before in other places, typically its the “netflix” shift. In this case they expected me to do the accounting for the entire resort, 5 departments and about 100k in transactions daily 6 days per week for $14 per hour. When finished I was to organize each receipt numerically from lowest number to highest, over 1000 per night. After several hostile encounters with the front desk manager containing personal insults and vitriol, some while she was obviously intoxicated I quit. So many people quit that week that they then asked me to stay on as night custodian and to work in the activities department. The manager of activities seemed like a good guy at first but I should have seen the red flags, the addiction issues and high turnover. I felt like giving snow mobile tours and making coffee could not be so bad. It started small like him berating us in front of customers, acting erratically and being mean spirited in general. It finally came to a head when my friend and African American coworker tried to eat a sandwich as she was forced to skip her break as usual. He violently berated her in front of 75 people while calling her fat and lazy, after getting away from her he proceeded with racial slurs. The owner of the place Bernie Karl is a bit of a local scumbag celebrity, also famously searchable as the abusive tyrant who fired employees last summer for leaving when a forest fire made it within a mile of the property and there was an emergency evac order. I couldn't figure out why none of these people are drug tested but how could they be, who else would work here? I'm trying to make it 12 more days as I gave notice, if you leave before your notice ends they keep your housing deposit but now that they know I'm leaving the days get more and more hostile and aggressive
