Howdy, new here. So I am leaving my corporate company after 2 years come this Thursday. I intentionally stayed past the first quarter so I could obtain the usual bonus. We had been instructed to keep track of our work this quarter like usual, but the bonus game had not been formally decided— everything is a game at this company.
Yesterday they notified us that they were retroactively removing Q1 bonuses and completely changing the structure. I messaged my boss and essentially “there is no Q1 bonus.” There was no communication about this at all over the quarter- they only informed us the day after the quarter ended. Bonuses are now based on company performance as a whole- which is something I have contributed to during Q1. Should I be pursuing a bonus? What can be done.
