Work – Life Balance?

I read this tweet (short thread, but comments good too) about work-life balance. He's an attorney who says that 40+ is not enough for him, “it’s probably a more accurate statement to say it’s not enough time to accomplish the goals I have.” I think he has a solid take, stating its a decision he makes with his partner (re childcare, family time, etc). One commenter stated, “Balance means work and life are equal. That’s never going to happen! I’m all about blend. I’m always asking how can I blend work and life in a way that (1) allows me to enjoy both and (2) provide for my family beyond just my salary and benefits.” If its your choice, and you're not made to feel guilty about it (“we're a family here” or “you're letting down your work mates”), is 40+ hour work weeks acceptable? Can work-life balance, control, blend…
