Are we all just destined to rot and suffer under big corps?

Like truly. NO ONE wants this. Most people are actively very displeased with their jobs. No one likes feeling exploited for their labor. No one likes earning the company millions while only getting to put a few hundred dollars in their pocket at the end of the week, which of course all gets devoured by the insane cost of living, children, groceries, bills, and so on. The normal style of living is so excruciatingly painful to come to terms with. We are all expected to donate our entire lives to giant billion dollar corps so that we can get paid nothing, and the douche at the top that oversees it all gets to sit on Twitter and live a gluttonous lifestyle. We are expected to spend more time working than living our normal lives. We are employees before we are citizens. The normal retirement age is 60-65 so say it…

The normal retirement age is 60-65 so say it all goes to plan and you retire at 60, most people die at 70-80 AT BEST, so yay you retired! You get to spend the last of your days riddled with health problems as every elder does, and with your quality of life completely in the ground, fantastic. As much as I refuse to settle, I admit that I’m starting to lose hope. Truly.

I remember when I was a kid, I asked my dad about this kind of thing. He was a factory worker all of his life. I said dad if there are people who are good at playing guitar or good at singing who can make millions, why wouldn’t you ever try to just branch out and follow some sort of dream of your own rather than just working? And he said well for all of my life I needed to pay bills so there wasn’t time to not work. He said his dream was to go to college which he never did. That is so unacceptable to me and it’s truly a crime what we are forced to live through.
