Some background: I worked at a restaurant in the city and they tried to get me to quit by taking me off the schedule, I left. This place sucked completely, they did the most illegal things, and treated everyone horribly. I wasn’t fired or anything and didn’t leave on bad terms and was great at my job.
I used to be close friends with another server there unit I found out she was absolutely insane and was talking about me to everyone and trying to get the guy I was seeing to break up with me. The amount of things this girl did is insane, the list goes from talking shit, to helping the guy I was seeing’s ex gf break into his apartment and go through my stuff. Obviously we are no longer friends but I do think she is the reason I was let go.
My now boyfriend (the guy mentioned above) works there as a bartender (it’s where we met) and I visit him if I forget my keys to the apartment or if we’re getting dinner and he’s about to get off work, stuff along those lines. I’ve probably been there 4-5 times since December to see him or my other friend who works there.
Anyway my boyfriend texted me saying the manager said I can’t be served there anymore because it’s making an employee uncomfortable. While working there they let people who made me and my other coworker uncomfortable stay and visit all the time. They let a girl who stole 2k from my coworker visit all the time even when she complained to management
When I go, I only sit at the bar and talk to my boyfriend and don’t do anything or even talk to my old coworker. I know companies have the right to refuse service but it feels like I am being singled out and I wonder if there’s anything that can be done legally.
