Irritated with the mislabeling of jobs…

Why are secretarial jobs listed as “administrative assistant” but when you look at the job description it’s basically not assisting or supporting but right near doing every single office function single handedly or basically doing the management for the administrator so they can just play around in meetings all day. I was invited to apply to an admin assistant job today on Indeed. It paid $16/hr to handle all accounting functions within Sage, all customer service, all fleet management, and playing a janitors role too to put the cherry on top. Oh and then there are just the normal expected secretarial functions too. I really hate that I have spent so much time in this field. Administrative Assistant seems like the new job title that means “person that will simultaneously do 3 complete jobs above their pay grade for the price of one”. Fuck!
