Rn I’m making minimum wage+tips which isn’t bad, but it isn’t great either. I’ve been working in the same place for a few years and am one of the most senior people working there, able to do almost everything to keep the place running. I told my boss that I’d like a $2 raise instead of the $1 raise that we normally get yearly, and laid out the work I’ve done in the past, and she actually said yes!!! Now I’ll be making $14/hr plus tips!!
It feels so empowering to ask for something like that and actually have it go through. If you feel like you can I def recommend asking for a raise 🙂
