My sister just got a new boss at her job.
The boss mentioned that she thinks my sister speaks too loudly and that it must be because she’s from NY (sister now lives and works in the South) and told my sister that “we’ll need to work on that”
My sister has never had anyone mention this before at this office—but now she feels self-conscious about it and isn’t quite sure what her boss is going to expect her to do. Anyone else ever deal with this? I told my sister jokingly to start whispering, but really all I could say was “wow”
