How do you get through or reason with senior management when they refuse to listen?

A few colleagues and myself are struggling with a couple of senior management members at work. They are very quick to shoot down ideas, dismiss good work people have done, and they never appreciate how hard everyone works even when they're not required to be on shift. They have no comprehension of our department and what it takes to keep afloat. One person is the big boss. What they say goes and sometimes they contradict themself when asking us to achieve certain things (eg, 'you're department isn't making enough money…I'd like you to offer heavily discounted products for staff at cost price' – how can we make money when they're forcing us to give things away for free/ discounted). One person is the big boss. The other person (haven't met them in person but im aware of how they are via other peoples stories, and other issues they are responsible for thatbhave directly impacted me) but will make unreasonable requests, seemingly lacks compassion or understanding, very facts and figures minded etc.

How the fuck do you reason and get your point across to people with these personality types? Most people at work are scared of both of them so will try and make their point, but they either get shot down, or cut-off and never finish getting their point across.

Yes, I could just leave, but for now I need to make another attempt to get them to listen to me, and want to the best and most affective way to go about it.
