Antiwork

Today is my last day at my current job and I couldn’t be happier to leave this place.

I started working at McDonalds last October. I only work part-time (usually less than 20 hours) because I’m a full-time college student. The only reason I took this job was because none of my other applications and/or job interviews went anywhere and McDonalds was the closest place (right across the street) and I had no car so I needed something close. I told myself I would never work in fast food and I wish I listened to myself. I told them I was leaving two weeks ago and they drastically cut my hours to punish me. I couldn’t care less. Working less time at this job is great. Now I have this whole week to focus on school and have fun. I start my new job on Sunday. I’ll get paid more, have more benefits, and it’ll probably be at least a little less stressful. I’ll miss being able to…

I’ll miss being able to walk across the street to go to work but my commute will be like 12-15 minutes.
