Just happened so I was looking to vent. I am a recent graduate. I have been on the job hunt since January, and have been applying to a number of places. I heard back from one place that I am super excited about with a tentative offer. While waiting for that offer to formalize, I received another invitation to interview at a different company. I figured since the first offer is still pending, I would at least hear them out.
The interview was scheduled for noon today and has been for about 3 weeks. I put off plans to make sure I could attend this interview. 2 hours before the interview, I get an email that it is canceled as they filled the role. This struck me as very rude.
While I thankfully still have the job prospect I am excited for still coming, I realize others who are hunting for work might not. Canceling an interview so last minute is extremely disheartening and not professional.
