I am not sure if this is the right subreddit to share but I quit an absolute nightmare of a job i was working in. My boss is an absolute narcissist and chews me out for over absolutely nothing. He calls me words like “stupid” “brainless” and a “moron” and screams at me. He makes us work for like 60 hours a week. He even calls me while I am half driving and expects me to answer me calls and yells at me when i dont answer his calls. Not to mention the long commute hours. Luckily i got a job offer in a new company where the work culture is much better, working hours are 40 hours a week, a salary hike, and the boss is a level headed person and shorter commute hours. So I put in my resignation in my current company. Unsurprisingly, my boss got vindictive and screamed “you dont decide when your last working day in this company is. I decide that!” And refused to relieve me. I think my boss wont pay me for my notice period. I am not in the US so we dont have laws here protecting me for the hours I clock in during my notice period so he has all the power here. He has gotten super vindictive during the notice period AND now he is chewing me up even more. It has taken a huge toll on my health. Luckily its only few days left until i will have work in this nightmare of a place but its a possibility that i will have to write off the notice period salary as he wont pay me for the amount i serve during my notice.
