I got an offer a week ago from a great company and accepted. My background check is completed and my starting date is Monday. Today I got an offer from a better company for 30% more that’s located significantly closer to where I live. I don’t want to burn the company I got the initial offer from but I really don’t have a choice. Is it ever ethically too late to decline an offer once accepted? Plus I really like the hiring manager.
