Better than most restaurant jobs… right?

I work as a kitchen chef at a known small business restaurant that does a lot of good for the community in the city and has pretty good morals overall. However, the boss and most employees would consider themselves as friends. Which proves to be good in some cases but difficult in others, I don’t feel as though we can critique our boss. He has treated me differently after telling him that one of his employees is racist (it is extremely frowned upon at our place of work as our boss is black and many other employees are non-white) he also gets noticeably annoyed and upset with me when I call out even after I have told him and others that I have a very weak immune system. This is more of a legality issues but he doesn’t give us the legal amount of breaks that we need based on how long our shift is. Anyways I just wanted any possible advice I can get. I don’t really want the business to shut down cause its really important for people and for the community but I’m really burnt out and stressed.

For context abt the cutting of hours: My partner is disabled and hasn’t been able to find a job that won’t be pos and so I am the only one paying for stuff for us.
