Vice President visited the office on a Friday when 90% of the teams worked remote. Now he is calling for mandatory office days on Fridays.

We have 2 WFH days out of the week, though flexible, a majority of the office work from home Thursdays and Fridays. Vice President of the company makes a surprise visit and is apparently “appalled that there was barely more than 10 people in the office on Friday..” When they told him most people worked from home that day he said it was embarrassing to see and pushed for people to work in office on a Friday. Now the managers are trying to tell everyone to switch their work from home days to cater to this nonsense of an issue. It is literally the stupidest thing ever. On Fridays I tend to get my work done before noon and relax and respond to things as they come. Now I have to waste time commuting to the office, pretending to look busy, all because some guy felt sad that no one…
