Is it discrimination to not approve my annual leave during school holidays ‘in case others want it off.’?

My manager said she’s not going to approve some of my annual leave I’ve requested because it’s during half term and other people in the team that have kids might want to book it off. When I booked it I checked and nobody had booked it yet, so does this mean that because I don’t have kids I have to just pick whatever is left rather than it being first come first serve? Is this not discrimination?
