Antiwork

I know this is antiwork, but was hoping for some advice- is inquiring about OT gosh?

I work for the county where I live, and despite the fact I- by my own guess- make decent money, I have pandemic-era debts and lingering moving expenses that I'm just not able to efficiently tackle on one income; not with just trying to afford living expenses. I was wondering how bad it might look/how frowned upon it might be if I went and asked my boss if there were any OT opportunities- otherwise it's likely I'll be getting a second job once I'm done with my paralegal courses at the end of May, just to try and make a difference and maybe actually take vacation and have my BF come out for my birthday later in the year. Does anyone have any advice? Please and thank you in advance.
