Hello, I live in the state of maryland. I was let go Tuesday of this week and expected my check to be around 3000 dollars as my regular check was usually 1900 plus my stipend about 2100. This quarter when I’d been let go I’d been given my commission, pto and salary… although my salary only covered two days of work. I reached out to my old manager and HR to fix this. They say that the figures are correct, it couldn’t possibly be true could it? Salary means a fixed rate no matter the hours worked right?
I don’t know what to do….
The company is a smaller company that relies on translation and let us go due to not being able to afford us. They are from the U.K. but tried an american team, however they fired the only employee who brought them the most money 2 weeks into training and lost a ton of money.
I started in january we had three months of no quota then this first month into the actual selling period quarter this happens
They also reported the quarterly earnings in comparison to last year and appeared panicked a month ago as they hadn’t reached their quarterly earnings of last year which was 1.2 million…. they had made 250 which was mostly due to one person.
I feel they are trying to meet the bottom line by skimping me… what should i do? or am i in the wrong? Photos attached
