Not Being Supportive Enough

Today, the dean of the school that I work at came up to me and told me I spend too much time on my phone and iPad. As a young person, I can understand that, I have a hard time staying focused and get on my phone, and when I’m in my cubicle, I have my iPad with me to listen to podcasts. Today, the dean of the school that I work at came up to me and told me I spend too much time on my phone and iPad. As a young person, I can understand that, I have a hard time staying focused and get on my phone, and when I’m in my cubicle, I have my iPad with me to listen to podcasts. So, I understand why she said something, but she went on to say that I’m not being supportive to her and the other office lady that works with me.

She claimed that the other office lady, we’ll call her Karen, works over her hours because of this, and she’s not seeing any work on my end being done. Which is total bullshit as I do EVERYTHING this woman tells me to do, the exact way she tells me to do them. She gets on me all the time, knit-picks, and asks an ungodly amount of questions of me, but yet I still do the work and get everything done. Everyone who works in the program with me loves me, they’re thankful for everything I do for them, but this woman just never seems satisfied with my work. This is why I hate the workforce and have been wanting a more independent job where I don’t have to answer to a ton of people. Just seems that people are never satisfied with what I put forth.
