So basically as the title said this place in NY called Citi Wide Multi Services called me yesterday abt a job application I sent in. I looked through all the jobs I applied for but couldn’t find that specific one but in my head I thought I just couldn’t find it. So yesterday (Friday) they called me abt an interview for today (sat) which should’ve been my first red flag but when I asked the person who called me if I could interview on Monday she said no. So when I got there the person asked me a few questions and i answered and he welcomed me to his “team” after that he told me about how I’d have to pay 949 for training but yesterday I was told it was $150 and I would get paid $25/hr today he said it was 28. He kept going on and on about how he’s tryna help me(red flag)
When he gave me a paper to sign I read it over before I signed but I told me let me think about it bc it didn’t feel right. I then told him I’d have to speak about it with my mother which was a lie but he got so mad and aggressive and said I could go, i was talking to one of his employees who asked why I didn’t sign he got mad again saying “if he says I can go then that means go” That’s when I knew it was most def a scam. He even chased me downstairs but anyways OSHA training doesn’t cost $949. So if you live in NYC and they call you abt (53 East 34th street 4th floor NY NY 10016) DO NOT GO!
