I work in the bakery department at a grocery store. Worked my butt off there for almost a year & ran the bakery department when my boss was out on surgery and I was a new employee. Have been told often that my performance is good.
Today I found out my position is being given to a new full-time person who doesn’t have a day’s worth of experience in my job and I’m so upset. And I might have to train my replacement. I’m not fired, but am being pushed out of my department, the only department I know how to do at my job and one that I kinda like because I have experience in the field.
I’m so done & want to just give up already. Why look for a new job when I’ll just be losing out on more time with my son at a job I won’t enjoy? According to my significant other, I have to just “keep pushing” and “hop back on the horse” but I’m so tired. Oh, and he really keeps pushing that I apply for the post office for some reason? I’ve been crying for hours and mixed with other personal stuff I’m going through, this just feels like the straw that is breaking my back.
