I did the math, and I’m raging.

I’ve been in my field for over a decade. Healthcare, pretty niche, a specialty within a specialty if you will. I take care of two departments for a sizable and reputable practice in my area. It’s payday. During the last pay period I actually took lunch breaks (usually just work straight through), and had to miss a few hours for mental health appointments. I pay for the health insurance for myself, my husband and daughter, $450 a pay period. My check was kinda slim this go round, so I did the math. After paying insurance and gasp taking lunch breaks, my hourly wage breaks down to $13.50 an hour for the last two weeks. Thirteen fucking fifty. I can’t. I feel so defeated. I wanna buy a home and have somewhere that is ours. I wanna take a vacay. I feel so defeated. I have no idea how I’m ever…
