Just got the call from HR that they want to have a sit-down with me on Monday. I work as a gov contractor in DC and this latest job has been a poor fit from when I started back in January. There was an issue at every step of the onboarding process, company didn’t have a general admin code to charge so I barely got paid my first few weeks (salaried employee), and my coworker is an uptight jerk that will throw you under the bus in front of the client/management.
I’m probably not blameless, I have ADHD and bureaucratic office work is particularly tough for me, especially with very little oversight/guidance (unless I fuck up). I just began taking medication and have noticed a difference; too little too late I guess.
If it does happen on Monday, it’ll be the first time I’ve ever gotten fired and to be honest, I’m scared. Just needed to get this off my chest.
