Work “promoted” me (no pay raise, so nothing more than a fancy new title) I've taken on a lot of new work and have kept almost all of my old work. They hired someone else for my old position which means… They literally had it in their budget to be paying me double, and at the very least, a raise. Work doesn't reward you for being a hard working, they just give you more work. Let me be a cautionary tale.
