People only fear/hate AI because it replaces menial labor jobs

People fear ai because it generates a work force that requires more skill to participate, but that has always been the case with technological development. The thing they really fear is not being able to provide for themselves and their families, which is the real issue they should be forcing their governments to resolve. We live just on the cusp of the age in which all labor is menial, today if you work in a factory building hammers your job is menial, but 500 years ago if you built hammers you were highly skilled, and in 500 years its more likely no jobs will exist at all, and building hammers will be a hobby. We aren’t quite in the age of end to end automation, but i’d say 50-100 years from now we might just be there, and if we don’t improve society and the laws that govern it before then we are royally screwed. Capitalism cannot survive healthily in a technologically advanced society. It just can’t.
