Wife’s CEO is a minimalist and very anti white-collar

Yesterday the board of directors had scheduled a meeting for the CEO/Endboss, two other leading figures and those in upper-management (incl. my wife). In the morning she got a phone-call by her boss: “No need to come over here, there is no meeting. If I say you work fine, than that's it and that's what I told them. Everything else is a waste of time.” She told me about this and I immediately liked the man despite I don't know him. So I told her he is right about this, all this semi-important acting is nothing but a show. It contributes nothing. I wear a tie and a white collar at my work, so I know it's all a nothing burger wrapped in a fancy outfit. So she said that's exactly what this CEO/Endboss says, a big show and nothing else. “No need to come over here, there is no meeting. If I say you work fine, than that's it and that's what I told them. Everything else is a waste of time.”

She told me about this and I immediately liked the man despite I don't know him.
She then elaborated about him. Turns out he has a big beard, never walks in white-collar clothing himself offcourse, walks on sandals instead of shoes….. and drives a YELLOW FIAT PANDA, weathered by the sun after 2 decades of service! I laughed my eyes out of my head. A man who easily rakes in 15 or 20K each month drives a beaten down Fiat Panda and refuses to buy something else. Turns out the car has a lot of issues, but he keeps repairing it.

Furthermore he is a vegan and grows his own food. He is a relaxed individual and if there's more work he reaches out to the board: “Give me money so I can hire more personell”
He always get the reply that he should 'stay within budget' (so harder work for all others) and he simply refuses it. He even threatened to shut down one location (it's a big institution for the mentally and physically disabled with at least a dozen locations throughout my country). And then they always give in.

He is also a very smart man, and it goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover or his job title, once again. Needed to share this.
