The studies claiming that most ultra rich are “self made” are nonsensical – yet so many people believe that these people were “Middle Class” and achieved their wealth through hard work.

According to Forbes like 70% or 80% of Millionaires and are self made. All of these studies are based on self reporting. They just ask the rich guy “are you self made” – they say “yes totally” and thats it.

They also classify most of the rich coming from the Middle Class and achieving their wealth on their own because they didnt inherit it. All of this is bs.

1. Of course if you ask a rich guy if hes self made he will say yes. Otherwise it would tarninsh the myth of supriority.
2. People get money and help BEFORE they inherit anything. This fixation on inheritance is a distraction
3. Frankly many of the people there had borderline rich families so its absurd to claim that they came from the middle class.

Like Jeff Bezos grandfather owned 20 000 Acres of land. Thats 100 Square Kilometers! Thats a mid sized city. With a value of just 50k for every acre, Jeffs Grandpa had a net value of 1 Billion!

Totally Middle Class! If Jeff had failed after receiving 500k from his parent – grandpa could have sold just 10 acres – and here the next 500k boy! He most likely pumped several Million of Dollars into his grandsons firm – but because no one investiages or fact checks this – we rely on self reporting….

Gates family was among the top 1% or even 0.5% so was Elons or Buffets. They got help – were not Middle Class – and got a lot of money before inheriting.

Stop believing the nonsensical self reported claims – they are most likely wrong or omit important details.
