TLDR; Claimed that because he was firing us, we could no longer recieve direct deposit and would have to give us physical checks. Ghosted.
I work for a small business as a Summer job. About 10 employees.
He informed us that he wasn't happy with our work and that he was letting us go. Friday comes along and no paycheck in bank account. He cancelled our direct deposit.
So he asks us if we could work Saturday, and if we showed up for one more day we would get our paychecks.
Worked an entire day. Boss left and said he would be back later with our paychecks. Never came back. Won't answer phone calls.
He owed me 96 hours and 18 hours of overtime. I'm a W2 employee. Not sure what to do.
