Got fired for getting sick at work with fumes

I work at a local cafe. They’ve been doing construction in our store for the past two months. They’ve doing a FULL remodel, ripping out the counters, new floors, etc. There’s been lots of health code violations and such and I was making due and slowly trying to look for a new job. This past week they were putting in new counters and there was a horrible epoxy smell. There were awful fumes. During that day all five employees working got sick. Vomiting, headache, dizziness, eye and throat irritation. I contacted my manager that I was throwing up from the fumes and needed to go home. She got there argued with me but let me and my coworker go home. Two hours later she called me and fired me. I asked for a letter of termination from her and it says I “voluntarily resigned”. What can I do legally? I…

What can I do legally? I need help. I can’t file for unemployment if it says I quit. I still need to turn in my key as well. I asked my manager to rewrite the letter and my manager refused.
