So I work at a restaurant as a cashier. Only make $13.50 when they promised me $14 at least.
Where do I begin? The other day I was in the bathroom putting my hair up in a net and I checked my phone to see what time it was as a customer opened up my stall door (I thought I locked it) and said “HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING, QUIT PLAYING ON YOUR PHONE I NEED IN THERE”
To be fair there is only one stall in the bathroom but come on, you can wait 2 seconds man…
I leave the bathroom, it's whatever I don't care lol and my manager says “hey hop on headset for drive thru”. I hate taking orders on headset because it's difficult to hear customers especially if their diesel trucks are turned on, their radio is turned to at least 20 and they're whispering into the microphone.
I say “hey I can take your order” and the response from the lady was “THE GUY IN FRONT OF ME ISN'T PULLED UP ALL THE WAY SO I'M NOT GOING TO YELL AT YOU! YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT!” Meanwhile she's yelling at me…
Later on I was on fry station and this employee (around 70 female who has been here less than a month and already employee of the month because she brings candy to the managers everyday) comes up to my onion rings I just set down, looks at ONE little (ALMOST BURNT, NOT QUITE BURNT) onion ring, turns to me and says “Pitifull, drop some more”, no please or anything.
She's becoming a shift lead soon so that means I'm putting my 2 weeks in soon haha.
So many other stories I can go on and on but I do nothing but treat people with kindness and respect and I just get fucking treated like garbage every single shift I am so fed up with these fucking people.
