I loved this “Content Manager” job listing I came across on LinkedIn, which apparently wants someone to do two (or more- I see HR and legal tasks wrapped up in this description) full time jobs for the price of one:
“You are not a Marketing expert and not an IT person. No, you are right in between these things and ensure that those two completely different worlds work together in a streamlined way. This way you realize compelling websites, dazzling campaigns and other cool digital content for national and international organizations. The one time you might perform a huge content migration to a new CMS and help with the (technical) implementation. The next you are in control of the redesign of a website or will advise on more efficient working methods. But you're also ready to take on smaller tasks, such as writing blog entries and social media posts. The exciting thing about your job is that you work for larger organizations. This means that you have to deal with many (international) stakeholders. Marketers and IT specialists, of course, but also specialists in, for example, analytics, SEO, branding, and legal. Because you also are responsible for ensuring that the content meets all legal and style guidelines. Moreover, your role is only a starting point, because at iO you never stop learning. You will be in an environment where you are continuously encouraged to expand your knowledge.”
Sounds like a one-man-band job. What a nightmare. Someone would be an absolute fool to apply. Jobs like this also usually ask for the world, and offer about $30k per year in return.
