I got put in a PIP recently after 10 months in the company. Basically they hired me when the market was good and now they can get someone at least 20% cheaper. Also my boss doesn’t like me and wants to find a scapegoat as she has been screwing up a lot.
Two weeks ago, I was in a 9 days PIP, then, recently, they made up a bullshit excuse to extend the PIP by a week. Next meeting being middle of the week first thing in the morning. I know it’s because they got a ton of unexpected workload with tight deadlines and want to ‘delay’ firing me.
My worry is long do you think they can string me along without a clear answer? Every time they fail to plan something, they will delay my PIP? It’s annoying that I don’t get a clear answer from them and it seems like they don’t want to tell me that I will be fired straight up because they want me to stay motivated to help them hit their deadlines.
Anybody experienced or seen similar situations? Should I just take all my sick days to piss them off lol
