Work exit

I hope this is the right sub. I work at a food chain, scheduled shifts are a mess, some days are cut between morning and night shifts, the next it's afternoon and night straight, and it changes every week. Now, that I can tolerate, but the job in itself is taking a toll on my mental and physical health and it also has deepened a sleeping disorder, all to the point of me being depressed because of the pressure I put myself under to keep it, feels like next to torture or masochism. Now to the point: How can I let go of this job without it looking like I'm screwing up on purpose or trying to quit without expressing it to anyone else?
