Falsely Accused

A few months ago my husband was accused of “misconduct” by a female employee that had occur months before but was immediately fired. Not given any chance to defend himself. Hired to be remote with an agreement to travel to HQ once a month. Ironically, about the time the complaint was filed was the same time a travel restriction came down. The new person is located at HQ. Filed EEOC complaint, they didn’t investigate but approved for lawsuit. Hired an attorney… useless. In the classic “she said, he said “ it seems the woman wins by default. Attorney offered settlement, told to pound sand. Looking for ideas, similar experiences.
