I feel sorry for Lowes employees in Canada

I just wanted to find out if a product was in stock. There are no actual cashiers anymore so I couldn’t ask one of them. I went to customer service and there was no one there so I waited. And waited. Four different employees walked by. One walked towards me, saw me, made eye contact, and turned on his heels and went back the way he came. 15 minutes later someone worked up the courage to approach me to let me know yes the website says 5 in stock, but it is wrong. How bad is it to work somewhere that you are probably abused all day and so have PTSD when approaching a customer. (I would have posted this to their website – but they have disabled any submissions or contact information unless they are related to a return).
