I was caught taking an extra long paid break today at my job at a very well known grocery chain… something that is very commonplace in my department, but the fact is I was taking a long break and my manager noticed. I was sent home early and am now being investigated for further time infractions, which they will definitely find if they look hard enough.
Not to say I don't “deserve” to be punished but what's my best course of action here? Should I try to beat them and put my two weeks in? What happens to my health insurance if I lose my job?
