I cried because of my job for the first time ever

I’ve been working for about 13 years now. I’ve had many different kinds of jobs dealing with different kinds of people. I have not once cried because of work (I’ve cried many times at work, but not because of it) until today. I work at a private elementary/middle school. Monday-Thursday in the mornings I am a substitute and can be sent anywhere from first to eighth grades and every afternoon starting at 12:30 and every Friday the full day I am a teacher’s assistant in 3rd grade. I get sent my morning schedule every morning and go to my afternoon class like usual. This whole week I was taken away from my regular class AND put in the worst classes, so bad that I had to tell the coordinator that I absolutely cannot do any 5th grade ever, they really took it out of me. She said I’m sorry next…

She said I’m sorry next time I’ll try and swap you with another teacher. Today she emails me (when I’m supposed to be doing my regular class all day) to go to the worst class in the school – it’s known to be the worst, everyone hates them. I’m told about the teacher “he’ll be late and I have no one else to cover, stay until he gets here.”

They didn’t listen to a word I said, in fact they did the exact opposite. They kept leaving the class. They were screaming as if being murdered. They were just insanely disrespectful.

When I finally got to my regular class I was fuming and snapped a bit at the teacher who’s my friend and then was just venting and kinda yelling and just started crying in front of the class of third graders who have never been so quiet lol.

So yeah my job made me cry and I’m quitting if I’m sent there again
