I am getting super frustrated with the job market

I'm sick of hearing how great the economy is now and how unemployment is so low and that is an “employees market”. I live in Cleveland Ohio. The job market here sucks. My job history is fast food restaurant management. I have a large work gap because my last child was born with a lot of disabilities and needed full time care for years while he got therapies and stuff. During that gap time I got an associates degree in business and a bachelor's degree in complementary and alternative health. My plan was to open my own business making and selling soaps and candles and wax melts and other things that have holistic purposes. Well that didn't happen because I can't get the financing.

During Covid I left the restaurant industry for a job as a case manager assisting renters with rental assistance and utility assistance. Until the campaign abruptly shut down because the funding ran out.

Since then I haven't been able to stay out of the restaurant industry. I can't get my business idea off the ground, I can't find a job outside of fast food either, and all those jobs are $10/$11 an hour, part time, no benefits, awful shift, and must be available all shifts. Even better, when I apply for crew “why didn't you apply for management?” When I apply for management “well we would need to start you off as crew because we only promote from within”

I want work from home. I want to work from home because I can't drive (legally blind, I can see just fine with corrective lenses however lights hitting my eyes like sunlight or headlights completely blind me and make it unsafe for me to drive.) And I desperately want out of the restaurant business but I keep getting rejected for every work from home job and here in Cleveland the job listings for non restaurant jobs are $9 an hour or “must have 5 years experience” or “must have a master's in xxx” or “must have excellent credit score” (I've been denied for 5 jobs simply because of my credit)

I'm getting so frustrated. Part time fast food work is not a livable career. When is the US going to stand up and stop making rich people richer and demand the ludicrous requirements for a liveable wage end?
