Unethical/Illegal Clause?

I'm applying to Spencer's and came across this. From reading the attached link, it seems that if I sign it, I then have to arbitrate with the company individually for grievances. Could this be construed as preventing me from joining a (hypothetical) union? Because I'm fairly certain I wouldn't be hired if I say no, which would violate the National Labor Relations Act.
