I’ve been an electrician for the past year I live in Arizona .and I noticed after a couple months that my boss has been paying me straight time instead of overtime on my check stubs. He goes through ADP for our checks. What really got me is that when tax time came around all of us got W2s and 1099s. Someone said that the weekends we work he tells (whoever) that we get paid cash on those weekends, but on my stubs it says I worked 48 hours and got paid straight on it but I’m getting taxed as well on those 8 hours and now I have to pay the 1099 as well so I’m getting double taxed? If someone knows how this works please let me know.
