So here’s some context. Work has cut out our OT and are only allowing us to work 40 hours per week and still meet our sales quotas. They’ve also cut down on the inbound leads (inbound calls) because management states that we’re not working the outbound leads anymore. Morale has gone way down for a job that pays a base salary of $32k per year.
My 5th grade daughter has her final elementary school field trip tomorrow and yesterday I told her I couldn’t attend because of work. She then tells me, “didn’t you tell mom that if you died, your boss would replace you in a month?”. WTH? She must have heard a conversation I had with my wife weeks ago. Needless to say, I was able to get approval from her school to chaperone tomorrow and I’m calling out. Work will just have to wait another day.
