Hi all, I was out for part of last week because of meningitis symptoms—urgent care then ER. Everything came back negative. I went back to work this week and in a team meeting my manager asked me how I'm doing. I said so so. My teammates asked if I'm sick and my manager proceeded to say “Nah she has the cooties” repeatedly. As a non-native English speaker, I googled the term and am unsure what to think. Was she making fun of me or just being playful?
