You ever notice how much “certain people” in politics LOVE work-benefit programs.
Dental/Eye/Healthcare and as many government benefits possible.
Seems to have the side effect of giving employers the power of life and death over their employees and they fight vigorously for it and against things like social programs of every stripe. Seems a lot like slavery with extra steps.
Yup… really seems that way but they say it's because I want it that way because “Americans enjoy and value work” so it must be true. All the news outlets they own say so.
