In a time when housing supply is at a critical level to the point of rampant homelessness in major cities, why aren’t we converting useless office buildings to housing?
When fossil fuel prices are sky high and carbon emissions are literally the death knell of society as we know it, when infrastructure such as roads and public transit are stretched to their limits and commutes are several times longer and more accident-prone than they ought to be, why are we filling the roads with more commuters who never needed to be there in the first place?
When families’ budgets are stretched so thin they have a hard time putting food on the table, how can we justify getting child care for a luxury like disappearing to an office every day for 10+ hours…
If a job doesn’t need you physically in an office, that company is actively harming the environment and stealing resources from our struggling society by having you come to in-person work.
