I work for an unnamed security firm and I told them I can try to request time off to work an event but wasn’t sure I could. They said thats fine and got me a guard card (took my finger prints and test) for the state that the event was in.
The problem lays where they called me Monday to ask me when I’m showing up, I told them Friday evening is the earliest. I called them today to ask where I needed to go tomorrow and they said if i don’t show up tonight I’m going to be billed for the hotel room they got and the guard card fee. Are they allowed to this ?
