It would have been a step into management at the place I am now. I applied weeks ago and never heard back until today when the person they hired needed to be trained. I was told I was a natural fit to do the job(to train them), but apparently not enough to just pay me to be in that position. The new hire is perfectly lovely but this was such a slap in the face for me.
