A Serious Call to Action

I have read enough complaining and bickering, and I must speak out. As a member of the “Post Boomer” generation, we need to decide if we are willing to find common ground as a multigenerational group who, without question, decide to take collective and decisive action against the Baby-Boomer generation, stop complaining unless we can provide, or are open to solutions to our complaint, and acknowledge that our geriatric government, BOTH RED and BLUE, has made us indentured servants to their “wealth” plantation. How can we equal the playing field? Please understand that these recommendations will have both positive and negative consequences. Unfortunately, the generation that coasted under government subsides (whether you like it or hate it – they benefited from a form of socialism…), generated wealth and equity that, unless action is taken, will never be an option for us, nor will we inherit this accumulated wealth, and finally,…

Unfortunately, the generation that coasted under government subsides (whether you like it or hate it – they benefited from a form of socialism…), generated wealth and equity that, unless action is taken, will never be an option for us, nor will we inherit this accumulated wealth, and finally, the generation needs to be shown through action and policy, that they will have consequences for their own actions. We will suffer, but we must send the absolute affirmation that we will NOT let future generations be abused as our generations have been.

With solidarity, these action items will send a message to the skeletons draped in expensive jewelry and baggy ill-fitted clothing that we have had enough. Again, please understand that such actions will have consequences. Yet, realize that we can change the course of history now. The sun is setting on our future's horizon.

1) Collectively suspend all retirement contributions until the US Government is willing provide us a seat at the table and concede a compromise regarding our lack of representation. WE are funding the Baby Boomers retirement funds with our contributions NOW. Will we be extended the same courtesy? Wall Street needs to be sent a message: for as long as it takes, that based on their crimes and abuses, we will not contribute to a system where our false promise of future cash, weakened by inflation and a failing dollar, will somehow lead to a healthy retirement. We are the first generation that is predicted to have shorter life outcomes than our Boomer parasites. What have the anticipated majority of us to lose?

2) Openly reject and oppose our credit rating system, one that rewards the old with cash at the expense of the young without. This will be difficult, but if done together, will send a strong message. Refuse to pay your student loans! Do you know that there are government issued loans, sold off to private “entities” that are selling your debt and the interest it makes, on the open market? We will not be job-slaves, we will not be indentured servants to our wealthy, greedy lords. Ignore any debt that is not secured- meaning, if it is a car or house that can be used as collateral, pay it. Unsecured credit card debt or student loan debt? Let them twist in the wind when they have to explain to shareholders, making money off of your financial sacrifices, has dried up.

3) Our Lords and wealthy retirees' Social Security Pensions are funded widely by the funds TAKEN (not paid) from our paycheck. If anything we may see a fraction of what we paid in… if we reach that age. As difficult as it sounds, we must send an earthquake to disrupt this insult. I know it may not be realistic for all, but we need to send a stark and necessary message to the Skeletons in the three branches. We must all adopt and support support a three year “baby embargo”. Unless absolutely necessary or needed, hold off on having a child for three years. When the elite and boomers insult and accuse you of sinning, ask them why Johnson/Nixon/ Reagan (both Democrats and Republicans) were allowed rob these funds with NO intention of paying it back and they just clapped and developed successful single income families in their own home in their own name?

4) Ask yourself when making purchases, “Do I need this more than a healthy future?” Price goes down when demand goes down. Pick one non-workday and refuse to use gas. Collectively, if each of us has our own “one day strike”, it will create less demand and drive down prices. Squeeze the Fortune 500. YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW PHONE! As long as your phone works fine, do not by into the hype. We have been conditioned to spend – even if we do not have it. In debt, we are slaves.

4) Call/Email/Vocally advocate to your senators/house reps that all three branches of government need mandatory retirement ages at least once a week, if not more. Got a couple minutes? Add their office number to your phone and demand it. This is both a BLUE/RED issue! At this time term limits are not within would require an amendment, and likely divide and distract our cause. However, each of us should be furious that 75+ year olds are lining their pockets and making life-altering decisions about the next 50-100 years. Pssst… they do not care about us!

5) Accept and come to terms with the concept that our generations have been coached into in-fighting and hating each other. Red/Blue, Country/City, North/South… we see the hatred every day. Yet, we MUST say to each other, “We may not agree on issues now, but our enemy is clear. For the good of our future, we must be committed to our cause.”

6) If you disagree with any of these action items, or wish to add, PLEASE DO. Now is the time to say “ENOUGH!” It is okay to disagree, but please do not just criticize or insult. We need solutions. Despite our differences, we need each other. The largest generation in US history, complicit with Gov't/lobbying/Wall Street, spent OUR future on a bill they have no intention of paying back. Violence will not work… money is their lifeline. We must hit together, and hit hard. And if they balk at out financial squeeze, politely remind them of what their generation did to nursing homes and assisted care – and again, politely remind them that WE will decide where they spend their final days.

I look forward to your feedback.
