If you ask me they did it because I am a walking OSHA and Workman's comp hazard. Was supposed to be off work for six weeks. Manager calls me 3 weeks after surgery to ask work questions. “Dude, I don't know. I can't think straight.” He gets annoyed. I get extended another six weeks because brains don't like being told how fast they have to heal. I now have one more month off work until the end of June.
Now my company is pushing my manager to take back my company phone and send it in. I remind him that I am approved to work from him until the end of September. When I come back, how are people going to talk to me? I can't use my personal phone for work. He has no idea. But he still wants it back. I'm fine with sitting here getting talking to nobody.
Right now it just sits on my desk. I have it set on silent but it has 50 unanswered voicemails and 200 texts even though my out of office is on.
