Don’t be afraid to ask how much workers are getting paid when you travel to popular tourist cities.

Or look online if possible. As someone living in a tourist town it sucks that most places do not pay enough to afford rent. Support businesses that pay a living wage and speak out on behalf of workers if you can! Visitors are most of everyones income in those places and the public opinion really affects local businesses. I don't know why businesses are allowed to upcharge in expensive areas because they are expensive… but do not consider employees an expense. 🤡
